Virtual Prize Giving Rounds off the Summer Term
The final day of the Summer Term usually culminates in our Prize Day, an event designed to celebrate our pupils and their achievements. This year however, with physical school giving way to online lessons, we decided to end the term with a virtual version of this well attended and much anticipated day.
The event would usually involve the whole school community – pupils, staff, parents, guests and OAs – gathering together to say well done to those who have set the pace and tone, both in and out of the classroom, and would be followed by picnics in our beautiful school grounds.
But, as with many things this year, this was not to be. However, we wanted to round off the term by celebrating the many positives to come out of this school year. So, with our Pemberton Room set as the backdrop, our Custos Mrs Linda Nash, and our Headmaster, Mr Justin Chippendale commenced proceedings.
We included video montages and choral ensembles that really brought to life the essence of the school, from the children emerging from lock down, to our head boys and girls commenting on what King's Hall means to them.
While a virtual version cannot capture the usual sense of emotion, joy and celebration this day brings, we hope you enjoyed the reflective and positive nature of this online event.
If you didn't catch the live version, here is the recording below:
