King's Hall pupils have won their way through to the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS) Under 13 National Hockey Finals, after finishing in third place recently at the regionals at Millfield School.

The 20 schools competing from across the region were spilt into four groups of five, and at this stage, the King’s Hall team beat Port Regis by the only goal of the game. They then went on to defeat Danes Hill in Surrey 3-0.

King’s were then held to a goalless draw by Chafyn Grove Prep School before losing 1-0 to Durlston Court School. The group results meant that King’s Hall ended runners up in their table, only one point behind winners Durlston Court.

In the quarter finals, King’s Hall beat Sherborne to qualify for the semi-final of the IAPS Cup, where they were beaten 2-0 by eventual winners Hazelgrove School.
