Our boys are the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) South West champions after winning the regional cup competition, hosted by Millfield Prep School.

A total of eight schools from across the region competed in two pools of four and we were drawn against Stroud, Taunton Prep School and King Edwards Bath in their group.

The games were played as a pairs format (batsmen losing five runs when they're out, rather than ending their innings). Scores started at 200 for each team, who batted for eight overs a side (two overs per pair).

We won all three of our matches in the group stage: 291 v Stroud School 213; 255 v Taunton Prep School 217, and 267 v King Edwards Bath 201.

In the final, our boys played against a strong King’s St Albans team. Batting first we scored 233 in reply to which, thanks to a good fielding and bowling performance, they were limited to 215.
