Top 3 for U11 Hockey Team at IAPS National Finals

The King’s Hall Under 11 boy’s hockey team are back at school after coming third at Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) National Finals that took place at Rugby School last week.

After losing 0-2 to Gresham’s, the King’s Hall team went on to beat Bancrofts 1-0, Kent College 3-2, and St Andrews Woking 1-0, before drawing their match with Millfield Prep 1-1. As a result, they won their group.

In the quarter final they drew 0-0 with Chigwell, but won on penalty flicks to go through to the semi-finals, where they lost 0-2 to The Perse.

In the play off for third and fourth places, King’s Hall beat Foremarke Hall 2-1 to claim third place.

Ali Halls, Director of Sport at King’s Hall said: “It was a gutsy and determined team performance throughout the day with each and every boy playing remarkable hockey. This team has worked very hard all season and thoroughly deserve their success at the IAPS National Finals."
