The Magic of Morgins!
Earlier this month, fifty Year 7 pupils and a team of five teachers, set off for Morgins in Switzerland for a linguistically immersive experience.
To help develop their French speaking skills, the children attended morning language classes with a number of Swiss teachers, whose expert guidance enabled them to build upon their current knowledge whilst also picking up a few more technical terms!
To blow off steam after class, the children were treated to a programme of afternoon activities. From swinging between trees at the famous AccroCamp, to shooting down tropical-themed slides at the Aquaparc, there was never a dull moment. To make these memories all the more special, there was even the opportunity to visit some of the country’s most famous sites, including the Alps and the breath-taking Lake Geneva.
Commenting on the trip, Head of Modern Languages, Karon Harvey said: “It was certainly an action-packed week for us all. A highlight for many was the lakeside walk to Chillon Castle, which was followed by a swim in the lake and an early evening BBQ.”
She added: “A huge thank you to all of the children who represented the school wonderfully, and to all of the staff members who helped to make this year’s trip a success.”
