Pre-Prep Staff Conquer the London MoonWalk
Earlier this term, we let you know that two of our Pre-Prep teachers, Mrs Fidler and Mrs Kittow would be undertaking Walk the Walk’s London MoonWalk in support of breast cancer.
We can now pass on that the pair have raised over £1136 for the charity, with donations still pouring in. Combined with their friends’ efforts, their team have exceed £3000.
In true charitable spirit, the generous duo adopted a new nickname - the ‘Devon Dumplings’ – which certainly did bring a little humour to the day. Having known someone affected by breast cancer in some way, the pair believed the fundraiser to be the perfect way in which to raise awareness while also conquering a physical challenge they had been looking for.
We recently caught up with Mrs Fidler to find out how it all went…
“It was such an inspiring event to be part of. I achieved a personal challenge. The walking was the easy part, staying up all night, however, was tough! I am thrilled to have received so much support and I would encourage anyone to take part. It’s great fun, but I may just cheer you on from the side lines next time!”
