King's Hall celebrate Chinese New Year!

To celebrate Chinese New Year and welcome the Year of the Dog, the King’s Hall Hong Kong Chinese pupils were invited to join King’s College for the grand event. Our children took great pleasure in being able to share in such a special occasion where the delicious selection of traditional cuisines included Chinese chilli beef, mushroom chow mein and assorted dim sums. It was a great evening enjoyed by all and we’d like to say a really big thank you to King’s College for inviting us.

This year at King’s Hall our boarders all celebrated Chinese New Year alongside some of their day pupil friends for a festive boarders’ supper. There was a tasty feast in store, kindly put on by our brilliant catering staff, with lots of sweet and sour pork, hoisin chicken, egg fried rice, vegetable chow mein, spring rolls and prawn crackers – we devoured the lot! Our dining room was adorned with oriental decorations and all cutlery was replaced with chopsticks, which proved rather challenging!

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed celebrating this special occasion and we look forward to many other such events that bring our boarders and day pupils together in the near future.
