European Triathle Success for All-Rounder Nicolas

Year 5 pupil Nicolas Du Toit is clearly nipping at the heels of older King's pupils Sam Cobb and Fred Fisher! Nicolas recently travelled to Germany to compete for Great Britain in the Modern Biathle and Triathle Open European Championships.

He competed against a very strong field, including competitors from Austria, Czechia, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Spain and Belarus.

His first event was the individual Triathle. Nicolas was first to shoot and left the range in 10th position. He then made up several positions during the swimming and running phases, before returning to the range to shoot for a second time. Finishing with an impressive run, he came 4th overall.

The U11 boys’ team, which consisted of Nicolas and his fellow GB competitors, finished as the overall winners of this race. Another fantastic achievement!

Later the same day, Nicolas competed in the Mixed Relay Triathle with another GB team member. As the second person to go, Nicolas had a phenomenal race, clawing back a 15 second deficit on the leader to make him and his partner eventual winners. Well done, Nicolas!
