Elise Gains Place on Exeter City Development Centre
King’s Hall pupil Elise Roberts has been celebrating recently after achieving a place on the Exeter City Girls’ Development Centre.
The 12 year old, who lives on the outskirts of Taunton, only took up playing the game after attending a girls’ summer camp run by Chris Heayns, Director of Football at King's Schools.
Elise has attended training at King’s Hall and sessions with the Grecian Wildcats at Queen’s College; and now, much to her delight, she has been offered a place after completing a number of trials at Exeter City.
This September, Elise will travel to the Exeter City Development Centre at the Cliff Hill training ground to work with girls of a similar age.
Chris Heayns, who has been monitoring Elise’s development from the start, said: “In the two years since she started playing, her skills and understanding have developed considerably, and she is truly deserving of this opportunity."
