Bronze for Darcey at Water Polo Festival

RT @kingshallsport: Cross country/ outdoor pursuit/ treasure hunt/ orienteering… whatever it is called, the pupils had a brilliant time… https://t.co/PDUAPqm9I9 - 12 hours ago

Year 7 pupil Darcey Tomlinson has recently enjoyed a busy and highly successful weekend playing for the Taunton Deane Under 15s at the Manchester Festival of Water Polo.

Taking place at the Manchester Aquatics Centre, this was the first time Taunton Deane had competed in the competition, and were very pleased to enter the only all-girls' team in the Under 15s section. Considering the team had only four girls at the top of the age category, they were delighted to have placed 14th out of 20 teams.

Playing against all-boys' teams was quite a daunting prospect for Darcey, but she performed well throughout. The Taunton Deane player was also fortunate enough to be selected to play with the Devonport Under 13s. The Plymouth based side played exceptionally and came away with a bronze medal.

The 13-year-old was over the moon, but was naturally exhausted after playing 10 games in a single day. Well done Darcey!
