Book Fair Fever Takes Over King’s Hall

On Tuesday the Woodard Room was magically transformed into a busy bookshop as we hosted our annual Spring Book Fair. Children from across each year took great delight in exploring the books on offer and choosing their favourites, ready for them to be taken home and read with family.

Thanks to visiting booksellers, The Roving Bookshop, the children were able to purchase stories suited to their age and reading abilities. From the colourful novels of Roald Dahl, to the grittier detective stories, there was something for everyone.

Commenting, school Librarian Emily Marcuccilli, said: “Thank you to everyone who supported our Book Fair this year. There were smiles all round and we fully anticipate that pupils will have their noses firmly buried in their new books over the next couple of days.”

The Book Fair comes just weeks before our whole school Arts Week, where we will welcome children’s fiction writer, Robin Stevens, for a creative writing masterclass.
