Back in the Swing of Things!
Our Headmaster commented last week ... "Who needs Redbull? Children give you wings!"
Having them back at school, their presence on site, has made such a huge difference. Their energy and enthusiasm is a joy to see and the sense of cheer and optimism we are all feeling is fantastic.
With teaching and learning underway, we really are beginning to feel back in the swing of things. The children have revelled in each other’s company.
Next week, some hobbies will recommence, which we know our pupils are looking forward to. Some sport started up again last week and it was a delight to see many of our children taking part, getting some fresh air and reconnecting with their friends.
Routines are being re-established – we know so much time away from school has had the children keen to return after the summer holidays (first time ever?!) – and in time, we hope the 'new 'normal' will feel normal, and that a gradual move to our usual routine will become possible.
Our new Year 8 pupils are excited to take on the responsibility and understanding of being the forerunners and pacesetters, leading by example and through endeavour. There are 60 of them and we look forward to seeing what they, and all children here, can achieve collectively between now and July.
We hope this week's Prep Newsletter will demonstrate all we have achieved in such a short space of time.
