Pupils Sophie Flatt and Emily Ogle have enjoyed success at the Prep Schools Tennis Tournament – a three-day tennis event that took place at Hazlegrove School.

The Year 8 duo entered the doubles, where against some strong opposition, they came third in their group to qualify for the plate. The pair then won the quarter- and semi-finals, before winning 6-3 against Hazlegrove in the final.

In the singles, both girls played some brilliant tennis. Emily won her group, putting her through to the cup round, where she was unfortunately eliminated in the quarter-finals. Sophie came third in her group, putting her through to the plate, which she then went on to win.

Director of Sport, Ali Halls said: “Both girls enjoyed the experience and played extremely well throughout the tournament. They are thoroughly deserving of their success. This was a well organised and a friendly event. Hazlegrove were extremely efficient in their hospitality, providing delicious refreshments throughout the action packed day.”
