Before half term, King’s Hall pupils took to the track at the 2019 Junior Cross-Country Championships. Hosted by King’s College, the annual event sees Year 7 and 8 pupils from across Somerset compete in one of four races.

In the Year 7 girls’ race, Eve Rowe placed a fantastic 8th out of 51 competitors, while in the Year 7 boys’ race, Cameron Wallace finished 2nd, Henry Earp 5th and Oscar Mack 12th – all impressive achievements.

Meanwhile, the Year 8 girls were dominating their field, with Lexie Wallace coming 9th and Grace Fielder 13th. In the Year 8 boys’ race, Matthew Serrell-Cooke came 12th out of a challenging 44 runners.

Head of Athletics at King’s Schools, Richard Llewelyn-Eaton said: “The races were fantastic, with lots of challenges throughout the fields. The King’s Hall runners performed extremely well, building on their newly established King’s Loop.”
