King’s Hall Hockey Players Selected for Somerset

Year 8 King’s Hall pupils, Harriet Wrelton and Emily Ogle, have recently been selected to play hockey for Somerset after attending training sessions at King’s College.

Harriet made her debut in the first match against Cornwall and both girls are now looking forward to playing in the next fixture against Dorset in January.

The England Hockey Academy is aimed at 12-16 year olds, with the Player Pathway providing an environment for all junior players to flourish. The programme is also a fantastic way for pupils to realise their potential in the sport, whether that be as a club captain, coach, volunteer or even member of the GB team.

Director of Sport, Ali Halls, said: “Harriet and Emily have both worked hard at their hockey this term and thoroughly deserve the selection for the Somerset squad.”
