Congratulations to nine-year-old Theo Lamey who recently won the Somerset Under 11s County Closed Squash Tournament.

The Year 5 pupil also came third in the Under 13s tournament out of a field of 14 children and has been invited to represent Somerset. The talented sportsman, who trains at King’s College on Mondays and the Victoria Club on Saturdays, will now be competing in the South West Regional Squash Championships that take place in just a few weeks’ time.

Theo continues to be an all-rounder when it comes to sport. Earlier this year he won the Under 9s Somerset County Closed Tennis Tournament and played for the county team. He also plays cricket for Somerset Under 11s.

Commenting on his success, Theo said: “I am so happy to have come first this year, as last year I finished in second place. I can’t wait to compete at regionals!”
