Whilst Miss Hammond and Mr Stanley organised a football party for Justin’s birthday, the rest of us took advantage of the late summer sun and headed off down to Vivary Park. Here the children enjoyed climbing, swinging, sliding, running and picnicking. Then, to add to everyone’s enjoyment, an ice cream van arrived. Wow! These were the most enormous ice creams I have ever seen and by the time they were finished (some couldn’t even do that!) the children were in need of a walk, so off to the river we went where the ducks were given plenty of feed and wishes were made in the wishing well. It is such a joy taking everyone out, they have all settled so well and really get on with each other and enjoy what boarding has to over. Lucky children, I say!
