Our Under 11s are the regional winners of the English Schools Cricket Association (ESCA) Saracens Cup, hosted by King's College. They now progress to the National Finals Day on 10 July at Oakham School in Leciestershire.

We were representing Somerset, having beaten Millfield Prep School in the county final at Huish, and Langport Cricket Club last week.

The other schools representing their counties were Clayesmore (Dorset), St Hilary (Cornwall) and Exeter School (Devon). Our Under 11s won the tournament and will now progress to the National Finals on 10 July at Oakham School in Leicestershire. The boys won all three of their matches, which were played in a pairs format and started at 200.

In the opening match, we scored 318, in reply to which Clayesmore made 164. Against St Hilary, we scored 315, in reply to which our opponents made 200. In their final game, the boys scored 251 and Exeter School made 243.

Director of Sport, Ali Halls said: “There are some very talented players in the squad and they play very well together as a team. They performed well throughout the tournament and were the deserved winners at the end.”
