U11s Progress to IAPS Hockey Finals

Many congratulations to our Under 11 boys’ hockey team who recently progressed to the finals of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS) tournament after winning the West Regional qualifier at King's Bruton last weekend.

In the group stage, King’s Hall beat Clayesmore 1-0, Lambrook 3-2, and drew with Dumpton School 1-1 to top their table. In the quarter final, they beat Taunton School 3-0 to reach the last four, where they beat Sherborne Prep 2-0.

In the final, the boys convincingly beat Monkton Prep 4-1 and now look forward to the National Finals, which will take place at Rugby School on March 20th.

Director of Sport at King’s Hall, Ali Halls said: “The team have trained hard and thoroughly deserve their success in the regionals at King’s Bruton. They now have the opportunity to go forward to enjoy playing against the best teams in the country.”
