“The Enhancing King’s funding that our libraries have received has enabled us to boost the school’s strong reading culture even further, bringing a new dimension to the ways in which the children can experience, share and enjoy books. For example, the refurbished Pre Prep Log Cabin Library is now a delightful place for our youngest pupils to discover the joys of reading, and in the Prep we look forward to the addition of large outdoor beanbags for the annual summer tradition that is the Outdoor Library”
- Emily Marcuccilli, Librarian
Join Us in the Joy of Giving
We love King’s Hall and everything it stands for in a turbulent world. Join the 1880 Club today, right now ideally, to participate in the future prosperity of your alma mater.
The Club aims to make regular giving more widespread among parents, staff and friends. Giving a little each month (e.g. £1.88) or through an annual payment (e.g. £188) has a hugely positive impact on the future of King's Hall School.
“Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.”
- Hank Rosso
What is in it For You?
As well as experiencing the joy of giving, in return for your generosity, we will send you:
- A stylish Castelli 1880 Club note book
- A letter of thanks from Justin Chippendale, our Headmaster
- Updates on the impact of your kindness
1880 Club members will also be entitled to a reduced ticket price at any of our events.
What We Do With Your Money
We communicate regularly with teachers to discuss how to make the King’s Hall experience even better. Together we have identified several items as enhancements, which sit outside the provision of the School’s day-to-day budget.
Your generosity will be put towards one of these projects and will mean an immediate benefit to all areas of school life.ENHANCING KING'S PROJECTS
“I am delighted to have received funding for a set of Chinese bilingual dictionaries. These dictionaries, along with the sets we already have for Spanish and French, will provide our overseas pupils with the tools they need to communicate effectively and understand aspects of another culture.”
- Kathy Aladin - Learning Strategies and EAL Teacher
“The school and children are hugely appreciative of the new, logoed bobble hats to wear away on cold and windy tournament days. Not only are they quite trendy but the pupils will look smart and present themselves as a real team amongst the crowds”
- Claire Chippendale - Headmaster's Wife and Science Teacher
