Tatler Schools Guide
Below is Tatler's Schools Guide 2017 write-up for King's Hall School:
"King's Hall pops straight out of an Enid Blyton book. There are lashings of life skills - like sawing wood, cooking sausages in a cob oven and sewing - and cows graze on either side of the school's long drive. It's 'wonderfully wild', reports our spy. Head Justin Chippendale encourages a culture of 'relaxed rigour' among his boundlessly energetic pupils, which means that, despite the dreamy setting, the school maintains its academic focus - last year's 25 scholarships tells us as much. Wizard results in cricket and hockey too, and a recent performance of The Lion King was a roaring success. There's no them and us between day pupils and boarders (the girls love the heart-shaped bathmats in their house). The school's flexi-boarding deal is an absolute steal - it works out cheaper than a babysitter, and a lot more fun."
