Starting between 7-13
Children move into the Prep in Year 3 (7-8 years old) at the start of Key Stage 2. Many children also join the school from outside at this age. Classes are small, with no class having more than 20 in the Prep department; most number 17 or 18, so individual attention is assured, with children's effort, performance and progress constantly monitored and assessed.
Teachers, parents and children are involved in the process of setting and achieving targets. Parent-teacher meetings, written reports and an "open door policy" allow parents and school to work in partnership to the benefit of each child.
