It was another one of those trips where we prayed for good weather. We were meant to go to Butlins water park but as they were closed, so as not to disappoint the children, we decided on Paignton Splashdown park, which is situated right on the sea front. Admittedly, we didn’t need sun cream but the sun almost shone and the children spent two hours literally hurling themselves down water slides of all shapes and sizes showing absolutely no fear whatsoever. The staff had just as much, if not more, fun as the children! A picnic on the sea front ended a fantastic day out and one which we will certainly repeat.
