Pupils Support £1million MRI Scanner Campaign
Last week, King’s Hall School were delighted to welcome Magnus Mowat, Chairman of the Love Musgrove charity for a very special talk.
Magnus visited the school to speak to staff and pupils about the hospital’s MRI Scanner Campaign and to personally thank all who were involved in the recent fundraising.
Every year Musgrove Park Hospital treats around 235,000 people using MRI scanning. With the hospital’s current machine working to full capacity, the Trust is looking to provide as second one to reduce the use of external providers to meet the demand.
Love Musgrove’s £1million Campaign therefore aims to provide a much needed, brand-new, high specification 1.5 MRI scanner.
The charitable proportion of proceeds from last year’s biannual Autumn Fayre have been donated to the cause, with a whopping £2250 handed over.
Headmaster, Justin Chippendale said: “We are proud to be supporting the needs of us all in the local community. People of all ages can benefit from the range of uses an MRI scanner can be put to. Mr Mowat left the children well aware of the positive impact their generosity will have.”
Head Boy, Nigel Hau and Head Girl, Molly Landau were very proud as they presented the giant cheque to Love Musgrove. A huge thank you to all who were involved. We look forward to hearing from Magnus soon and hope that our donation will encourage others to support the cause.
