Outstanding Results Across the Board for Speech and Drama Pupils
It has been another busy and exciting end to the term, with King's Hall pupils working hard towards their annual Vanguard Speech and Drama examinations, which took place recently.
These examinations are designed to encourage a love of poetry and the spoken word, with a view to enhancing pupils’ performance and communication skills.
This year, our exam average was an outstanding 87%, meaning that nearly half of the children achieved a mark of 90% or higher.
Speech and Drama teacher, Alastair Kirby, said: “All of the children across Prep and Pre-Prep were absolutely outstanding, and the examiner was more than complimentary about the quality of their work.”
“These are some unbelievable results. The children were fantastic and so professional across the whole exam session, so a huge well done to them all. They were a pleasure to work with.”
Congratulations to Mable Rice and Pippa Roe, who both recorded an astounding 98% in Poetry Speaking.
Notable achievements also include Aimee Wilkinson, Ru Pengelly, Muriel Foster, and Amelia Lewis, who achieved between 95% and 96% in Poetry Speaking, Huckleberry Halliday and Eugene Louw for 95% in Duologue Acting, and Ella Spencer for 95% in Solo Acting.
