Year 5 Geography trip to Plymouth
The whole year group were very excited to be visiting the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth and also to carry out their own rock pooling on the beach. At the aquarium the group was split into two classes each with a marine biologist as a guide. The centre staff focused on the recent curriculum taught in school on food webs, adaption and environmental change.
During the beach visit the children were able to find their own rock pool species and see how much harder it was to find creatures on the foreshore compared to the aquarium.
