Year 4 visit Anglo-Saxon Britain
Year 4 have been studying the Anglo-Saxons in History and what better way to learn than by practical activities at a living history centre? Escot has an Anglo-Saxon Village and the pupils used a quern to grind flour for bread, engaged in various woodworking and copper tasks and of course dressed up as Anglo-Saxon villagers and warriors! The maze and ‘death’ slide -yes, a 90 degree drop- were other highlights of a very practical and exciting educational experience.
