U10 Hockey Girls win Taunton Prep School Tournament

What a fantastic effort on a very chilly Saturday morning – our enthusiastic U10 hockey girls won the Taunton Prep School Tournament. During the tournament the girls won five of their six games against Wellington, Taunton, Queen’s, Exeter, Millfield, and a 0-0 draw with Clifton.

Team coach, Mrs Hands, said: “This was a fantastic team effort. Midway through the tournament, tired legs slowed the KHS game, but the girls responded to constantly being pushed to mark the opposition and then run faster into attack for more scoring opportunities! Overall, King's scored 12 goals, without conceding 1”.

One player from each team received a certificate at the prize giving; Ava Broke-Smith received this for King's Hall, well deserved for scoring 11/12 of our goals! Very well played to Rose Cartwright, Arabella Williams, Ava Broke-Smith, Willow Simpson, Monique Du Toit, Ella Francis, Grace Eakhurst.
