Talent on Show at Taunton Drama Festival

King’s Hall School has once again enjoyed some excellent results at the Taunton Drama Festival. This follows on from the successes we enjoyed at the Taunton Music Festival last month.

In the Drama Festival, for the third consecutive year, King’s Hall were the most successful school taking part.

Another outstanding result from this year's Drama Festival saw King's Hall awarded four out of five 'Outstanding Marks' in classes across the week. This mark of 90% or more is only ever awarded for 'an exceptional performance, both technically and artistically’.

Across the whole Drama Festival week, King's Hall pupils took home 15 'First Places'.

King’s Hall Headmaster Justin Chippendale said: “I am thrilled for each and every King's Hall Speech & Drama pupil. They were fantastic ambassadors for the school and it's lovely to see them receive the credit they deserve for their hard work both in and outside of school, whether that is the pride from putting yourself forward, an applause, a medal or a trophy.

He added: “It's not only the winners and those children who took home medals over the course of this week, but a huge congratulations is deserved by everyone who took part in the 2018 Taunton Drama Festival. They have all been absolutely fantastic and have represented King's Hall Speech & Drama wonderfully!”
