Spring Book Fair with the Norfolk Children’s Book Centre
There was great excitement at King’s Hall on Wednesday as the Arts Centre was magically transformed into a treasure trove of children’s books, thanks to the wonderful Marilyn Brocklehurst of the Norfolk Children’s Book Centre. There were audible gasps from children and adults alike as they made their way into the Arts Centre and saw the amazing range of books on display.
Marilyn’s talks to individual year groups were as entertaining as they were inspirational. She reassured pupils that there is a book out there for EVERYONE and gave them lots of helpful advice about how to become “good choosers.” (Top tip #1: Don’t rely on the blurb – it is written by the publisher – but always read the first few pages to decide whether a book is for your or not.)
