Primary Schools Cross-Country event

Last week, 26 children represented King’s Hall School at the King’s College Primary Schools Cross Country event. A large field of runners gathered on a cold and somewhat wet afternoon but the excitement and enthusiasm was there for everyone to see. From the very beginning of the race it was good to see all of our children working hard and moving into strong positions. Leading from the front were Cameron Wallace, Charlie Sidhu and Arthur Webster for the boys and Ava Broke-Smith, Katie Rowe and Eve Rowe for the girls. Further down the field, a number of children teamed up in twos or threes in order to drive each other along and pass the runners ahead of them. The final 400 metres is always an area in which the King’s Hall children show their determination and again this was the case with a flurry of high quality sprint finishes.

A hugely successful event for all of the children and a large number of smiling faces heading home for some much needed rest. Well done girls and boys!
