King's Hall Pupils Bring Christmas Sparkle to Local Children
Kind-hearted pupils from King’s Hall School embraced the season of giving by donating essential items and gifts to local charity, The Christmas Sparkle Project.
Run by members of the local community, the rewarding charity helps to bring festive cheer to under-privileged families across Taunton and Wellington.
Gill Harrison, founder of the appeal, surprised the children when she visited the school before the end of term to talk about the scheme and how it benefits those in need. In return, King’s Hall pupils generously handed over a sackful of presents, wrapped and ready for distribution.
Justin Chippendale, Headmaster at King’s Hall School, said: “The Christmas Sparkle concept is such a brilliant idea. St Nicholas, the original Santa Claus, is our patron saint here at King’s Hall, so I am extremely proud of our children for embracing the act of unconditional giving this holiday season.”
