King's Hall Library becomes Reading Surgery for World Book Day
The library at King’s Hall was turned into a Reading Surgery to celebrate World Book Day this afternoon.
Our wonderful Year 6 Library Monitors became the ‘Reading Doctors’, complete with white coats, and stethoscopes. Classes from Year 3 - Year 6 came into the ‘surgery’, where they relaxed in the specially created ‘waiting room’ before their 1:1 consultations.
The Reading Doctor then chatted to the ‘patients’ about their reading preferences and prescribed some books they might enjoy.
The Headmaster commented: "A wonderfully creative idea was realised to spectacular effect as all the children, whether patient or Doctor, had a great time celebrating the incredible world of books - it was such good fun today."
