King’s Hall Success at the South West Fencing Championships

Three King's Hall fencers made their way to Millfield School last week and took part in this year’s South West Fencing Championships. Children from a number of schools and clubs across the region were involved including All Hallows, Millfield, Roselyon and Wellington and clubs from the Cotswolds, Bath, Barnstaple and East Devon.

The Boys' Foil events were well represented and Freddie Millard fought bravely and won a number of matches in the U12 competition with Austin Kamsner on fine form in the U14, beating someone he had lost to previously - well done!

In Sabre, Bryony Griffiths again triumphed with a hard fought 10-8 victory in the semi-finals over the number 1 seed from Millfield School. In the final, with her strength all spent, she was defeated, but brought home an impressive silver medal and qualification to the British Youth Championships in Sheffield in May. Well done Bryony!
