Aquathon at King's College
On a sunny Sunday morning, several King’s Hall children arrived at King’s College to take part in an ‘Aquathon’ run by British Triathlon. The event consisted of a swim followed by a run (the younger children did a 50 m swim and 600 m run, the older children faced a 150 m swim and a 1.5 km run) - for many of the children it was the first time they had done the transition between the two disciplines. While the parents were still debating the best method for getting wet feet into running shoes, the kids just got on with it, flinging goggles and towels everywhere and setting off (dripping wet) into their run.
Every single competitor showed fantastic energy and determination and deserved to feel incredibly proud of themselves after a tiring event.
