A fantastically fun Year 3 camp!
There was great excitement in Year 3 last before half term – it was their water sports evening and overnight stay! Everyone had lots of sets of clothes (in case of a dunking in the river), teddies, sleeping bags and toothbrushes. Friday during the day wasn’t very promising – rain, hail and even thunder and lightning – but by 6 pm all that had burnt off and we were treated to a glorious sunny evening. The staff at Outdoor Adventure were great fun and the kayaking and rafting on the Tone was enjoyed by everyone – even those who took a bit of a swim…
Back at school we had hot chocolate and flapjacks and then turned the Arts Centre into our ‘camp’ for the night. By 11 pm all was quiet and the first children didn’t wake up until 4.30 am! Exhausted, but happy, all the children went home after a good school breakfast and cakes (thanks to Daisy’s birthday).
