2016 Carnegie Award shadowing
During the summer term, judges selected the 2016 winner of the hugely prestigious Carnegie Award for young people’s fiction. 7S and 7K shadowed the awards process by reading their way through the shortlisted titles and sharing their views on the books that they read.
Here they are eagerly clutching their Carnegie books!
The children then contributed book reviews to the official Carnegie shadowing website and you can read their reviews by visiting King’s Hall's shadowing page. Nearly half of the children voted for One by Sarah Crossan, which went on to win the 2016 Carnegie Award!
