Reception visit Charlton Apple Orchard
It was a wonderful sunny day as we headed off on Reception’s first ever school trip!
We were all very excited to board the school minibuses to Charlton Apple Orchard. Mr and Mrs Small were there to greet us and took us on a fun-filled walk around the orchard where we discovered all kinds of produce growing; pumpkins, plums and of course, lots of apples. We picked blackberries and damsons to eat on the way around and give us extra energy. We saw a tractor, some people picking apples and even a train and canal barge going past – such excitement!
Mr and Mrs Small then kindly invited us to have our picnic in their garden and we even tried some of their delicious apple juice! Reception are looking forward to their next adventure!
