Nursery 1 and 2 Head Off to Court Farm
All togged up in our waterproofs, wellies on the right feet (!)
and hats on snugly, we strapped ourselves into our seats and were off on our
adventure to Court Farm.
What a fantastic day we had!
First we met farmer Pete, who showed us how a cow is milked and they even let us bottle feed the lambs.
After careering around the pirate playground and bouncing up and down on the huge trampolines, we visited the sheep in the lambing pens and the pigs in their stys. The donkeys were very happy to see us and the goats even nibbled a few of our hats!!!
The farm was full of hens, cockerels, and cats, who followed us around, and besides the usual cows and their calves, we even met a few llamas on our way!
Just before lunch we found a beautiful white Shetland pony called Summer – she was a favourite amongst the group!
Our picnic lunch was inside a lovely dry barn complete with an amazing indoor play area where we could climb and slide until we were totally exhausted. And, before we knew it, it was time to head home.
Safely strapped back into the bus with our comfort toys to hand, many of us almost nodded off on the journey home. We’re already looking forward to our next day out at Court Farm.
