Happy Christmas from the Art Department
‘‘Tis the season to be jolly …”
and create some gorgeous gifts for Christmas!
I can hardly believe it’s already been a year since our Yr 3 and 4 children last got busy felting and sculpting, but the Art room has once again been transformed into Santa’s / Miss P’s workshop and we have some beautiful creations to adorn your trees and mantelpieces.
Clay robins have been lovingly shaped, burnished, adorned with sparkles (always good for adding a little bit of festive magic) and wrapped up in their winter woollies – all plaited and knotted by hand.
Meanwhile some beautiful handmade felt stars and trees are appearing in a stunning array of colours, with little decorative patterns, all layered, felted, cut and sewn using a blanket stitch – these have been sewn in the DT grotto to share the experience and skills across both departments.
We hope you love our Christmas gifts, which have been made with love and lots of hard work, especially for you.
Here’s a little sneak peek for you to enjoy …
