Ahead of Christmas Eve, Santa Takes a Well-earned Rest at Hestercombe
With a number of festivities underway across the school this
week, Reception headed out for a very exciting afternoon at Hestercombe.
And who should they meet? Sitting by a roaring fire in his special grotto was none other than Santa Claus – taking a well-earned break before continuing to amass the many presents he will be magically sending down chimneys in 12 days’ time.
His elves had told him that all the children had been very good this year, and so, as is tradition when visiting Santa, they all received a special gift to be opened on Christmas Eve.
Thrilled with their gifts from such a special person, this excitement continued as the children wandered through the gardens along the Christmas trail and, even in spite of the cold, managed to have fun splashing in the stream!
It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
