Black Cat Theatre Company The Black Cat Theatre Company came to school on Tuesday 2nd March to perform and run workshops on Shakespeare. In the morning, Year 7 explored one of Shakespeare’s later plays, ‘The Tempest’ and in the afternoon, Year 8 looked at ‘Romeo & Juliet’. Both year groups found themselves watching key scenes, participating in acting and role play, as well as discussing Shakespeare’s characterisation, use of language and stagecraft.
Here are the thoughts of a couple of pupils.
‘The actors moved well and I could see they had good acting skills.’
‘They chose me to act out a scene. I must admit I did make everyone laugh with my Caliban voice!’
