Memorial to Mr Andrew Shawyer

Many people will have noticed that we have recently replaced the tired looking chain in front of the school with more stylish box planters which are totally in keeping with our Georgian building's architecture.
These delightful improvements are in memory of Mr Andrew Shawyer, the first Headmaster of Pyrland Hall and they have been donated to King's Hall by his daughter Gail and son Robin to whom we are most grateful.

The Annual Year 8 Charity Event

The Year 8 Charity Fun Event took place during the last week of term in scorching weather which was just as well because the principal attractions this year all involved getting wet.
The pupils in Year 8 spent their time planning, organising and running the event which takes place annually on the North Field in aid of charity.
All the children had a wonderful afternoon and in little over two hours more than £1000 was raised for Childrens'Hospice South West.
Congratulations to our Year 8 leavers on such a magnificent effort.
