Meet the Team
Clare Masters: Clare has a passion for the outdoor life and, along with the children, looks after the chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. A favourite pastime is whipping up a mud pie in the outdoor kitchen, and after a busy day in the Nursery she then heads upstairs to run the Boarding House.
Hannah Hammond: Hannah is extremely passionate about the principles of Early Years and is dedicated to creating a safe and secure environment in which the children can thrive. She also enjoys keeping active in the classroom through song, dance and physical activities. Outside of work, even finds time to help run a local football team!
Leanne Darlow: Leanne is an outstanding practitioner because she has never really grown up herself! She has the energy of a toddler after a tube of smarties, but you could not wish to leave your child with a more caring, kind and patient teacher.
Lizzie Welstead: Lizzie has a passion for horses and dogs and, when not in Nursery, can be found somewhere on the Quantocks enjoying the outdoor life. She has the voice of an angel and can lull even the most reluctant of sleepers with her soporific lullaby's.
Jo Williams: Jo enjoys celebrating creativity in the Nursery. She always keeps things calm and simple (having twin boys herself has led to this being well embedded in her practice!). The other Nursery staff refer to her as ‘Mary Poppins’ as she always has a bottomless bag of ‘things’ that she has collected along her travels.
Laura Knight: Laura is very organised and likes getting stuck into different areas of school. She is a keen actress, playing her part in the Reception promotional video, and always has a spring in her step! She can always be spotted due to her large collection of colourful necklaces.
Clare Stanley: Clare is Queen of the Tool Station at Forest School where she enjoys helping children learn how to use tools safely and teaching them how to make magnificent creations. She is a creative talent, conjuring up the most amazing props for our production, often from everyday objects.
Phoebe Gray: Phoebe is always up for a giggle and loves surprising the children by dressing up as different characters for topic work in the classroom.
Victoria Kittow: Tory has a competitive drive that is at its height on the first day of each month as she ‘pinches and punches’ her way around Pre-Prep; there is often a race involved! Her competitiveness can also be seen in her ambition to ensure every child achieves the very highest standard.
Heidi Lawford: Heidi is always looking for ways to use her creativity in all that she does. She also loves yoga and mindfulness, so is often seen encouraging the children to be a cat under a tree near a mountain!
Claire Luckhurst: Claire loves directing the Pre-Prep Nativity and Summer Show, where she can channel her inner ‘drama queen’ and bring out those all important jazz hands!
Clare Fidler: Clare finds any excuse to play music, sing and dress up as a wide variety of characters; her classroom is never the quietest in Pre–Prep!
Georgia Simpson: Georgia loves taking the children out for Forest School and teaching them art. She really enjoys painting the scenery for our Pre-Prep plays and is very keen on wildlife; but giant spiders found in the classroom sink are a huge NO!
