Literary Fun at the Hay Festival | King's Hall School Taunton

ave you every visted the Hay Festival? If not, Mrs Marcuccilli highly recommends it as a wonderful experience for children, teens and adults.

It takes place every year during the May half-term in the beautiful rural setting of Hay-on-Wye and offers readers of all ages the opportunity to hear from inspirational authors and illustrators from all literary backgrounds.

There really is something for everyone and this year, Mrs M was luckily enough to meet two of King’s Hall’s favourite authors – Katherine Rundell and Marcus Zusak.

Last year our pupils were lucky enough to receive a Skype call from Katherine, who treated everyone to a live Q&A session and dished out some top secret literary advice.

Events such as these allow for us to discover the latest and greatest children's authors, and maybe even snag a few freebies (who doesn’t love freebies?!).
