The pupils in Year One go back in time.

25/01/2011
Our Year One pupils recently visited the Saxon houses at Escot Park, Devon, and had a fun packed day out whilst learning about the lifestyles of their ancestors.
Escot Park features Edcott, an Anglo-Saxon village, and the pupils visited the on-site houses to learn about their ancestors and compare their own lifestyles with those of the Saxons. The pupils have been learning about different types of houses and homes at school, and were keen to see the real thing!
They also enjoyed spending time in the park's adventure playground and maze, and saying hello to the park's otters, hens and even a wild boar! They also put their Forest School skills to good use, sawing and drilling to make woodland medallions to remember their visit.
