King's Hall Triathlon

07/09/2011
Twenty one Year 8s, boys and girls, competed in our triathlon in blustery, cool conditions. We were all wondering where our ‘indian summer’ was! All three disciplines were affected by the wind especially during the cycling and the running which took place on the South Field. The uphill section of this field is deceptively difficult!
All the competitors had been training in the Summer holidays but not many had trained to complete a run after a cycle and so several of the girls and boys complained of very ‘heavy legs’ as they started the run!
Imogen Keeling was the winner for the girls and Harry Clark for the boys but all deserve congratulations for entering and completing the course in a very respectable time.
