Kariandusi School Trust

We were delighted to welcome Canon Brendon Clover, the Senior Provost of the Woodard Corporation, to our assembly today. He visited us in order to collect a cheque for £5,000 from our Head Girl, Rosalie Sanders, and Head Boy, William Cashmore.
This impressive sum of money will go the Kariandusi School Trust who are building a secondary school at Langalanga in the Kenyan Rift Valley. This is the cause that is being supported by all of the Woodard schools during 2011 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Nathaniel Woodard.
The largest part of this amount came from the Autumn Fayre, with other contributions coming from a book sale organised by pupils in Years 3 & 4 and from the pupils in Year 8 last year.
