@Bristol

Year 2 had the most fantastic trip to @Bristol.
After a quick drink and biscuit to revive them after the mini-bus trip it was straight into the ‘Body Matters’ workshop where they were introduced to ‘Mr Stuffy’ who is a child-sized soft toy with a zipped tummy and removable organs!
After a brief stop to refuel at lunchtime it was back to exploring all the different exhibits. Everything is very ‘hands on’ at @Bristol: it is about the children exploring different areas of science and fostering a desire to find out more about the world around them. Favourite parts included a ‘hamster’ wheel big enough for a child to run in which moves water around, giant bubbles and exploring their own bodies with stethoscopes and blood pressure monitors.
The @Bristol staff are very knowledgeable and communicate effectively with children of all ages. It was a super visit - the children were a pleasure to take out and they were all buzzing about the things they had seen and done. If you have not been do go – it is a fascinating day out!
