On Friday we welcomed over 60 boarders for yet another movie night. This time round we watched the 2019 version of The Lion King - it was a hit with everyone (although I expect there were a few tired pupils).
The wind picked up overnight on Saturday, rattling a few windows and even a few large branches. Sunday morning, though, was a little more relaxing with a chess tournament taking place - serious stuff and very competitive, and what was even better was the hush that descended when the games begun. However, by Sunday afternoon the hush was overcome by all the boarders taking part in a Nerf Gun war. A company came from Wiltshire, dodging trees and gale force winds, and set up a war zone in the Sports Hall, and well... you can imagine the fun that was had!
This weekend is half term and we spare a thought for our international boarders who are unable to return home due to the current circumstances. I am sure that their host families will look after them well and give them a fun packed and enjoyable week. See you all soon!
