Christmas has definitely been creeping upon us for a fair few weeks now and we have been valiant in our attempts to ignore it but with the arrival of Advent we have opened our arms and welcomed the festive season in all its glittery glory!
The Pre-Prep Elves wove their magic after all the children had gone home on Friday and have transformed the classrooms into Christmas wonderlands filled with some quite impressive decorations (the type of which would never adorn our homes but which little children absolutely love!) The children’s reaction this morning as they arrived at school made it all worthwhile!
We will also be staging two Nativities before the end of term. Nursery will perform theirs at the end of this week which is guaranteed to be a true highlight of the season with the rest of Pre-Prep performing their Nativity on the last day of the term. The next two weeks will be dedicated to rehearsing to ensure we deliver a first-class performance that captures the innocence, awe and wonder of the Greatest Story Ever told.
The next couple of weeks will also witness the creation of treasured Christmas crafts which will undoubtedly require copious amounts of glitter, sequins and sticky glue!We will celebrate the season with parties, pay homage to the Patron saint of King’s Hall, St Nicolas, and hopefully receive a visit from the great man himself!
It really is the most wonderful (albeit the most exhausting) time of the year!
